Coaches

The following forms are required to coach youth sports in Hillsborough County and within Keystone Little League:

    description: Required for all Little League Volunteers each season. Gives authorization for a background check. You must pass background check to accepted to volunteer at KLL

    description: Authorizes Hillsborough County to use your SSN for background check.

  • A copy of your drivers license must also be submitted


Background Check
Upon receipt of your applications, both Hillsborough County and Keystone Little League will conduct background checks.

Coaches Certification Requirement
Hillsborough County requires all youth sports coaches to complete a “Coaches Certification Class” and possess a valid certification card at all times when coaching at county facilities.


New beginning January 2009:

  • You cannot register for a “Coaches Certification Class” until after the county clears your background check.
  • “Coaches Certification Cards” will be distributed after the certification class is completed.
  • A NYSCA Certification can be substituted for the Hillsborough County Coaches Certification.  Visit http://www.nays.org/coaches/ for more information on NYSCA Certification.
